Accessibility Test Analyst
Description
Contribute to execution of digital accessibility audits with focus on HTML/CSS/ARIA testing, plugin-based assessments, and standards-based evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility testing of websites and mobile apps as per WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines.
- Perform HTML and ARIA attribute testing for compliance and usability.
- Validate color contrast ratios, focus indicators, keyboard navigation, and label associations.
- Use browser-based tools and plugins like Axe DevTools, WAVE, ARC Toolkit, etc., for visual checks.
- Identify and log issues clearly using Excel, JIRA or similar tools, with annotated screenshots.
- Prepare accessibility audit reports with structured issue details and recommended fixes.
- Understand code-level issues and suggest basic remediation (e.g., correct use of ARIA roles, landmark regions, alt text, form labels).
- Run automated scans and manually validate flagged issues.
- Test components like dropdowns, modals, tables, and
dynamic content for accessibility behavior. - Stay current with WCAG, IS 17802, GIGW 3.0 and
accessibility testing methods. - Participate in internal reviews and knowledge sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1.5–5 years of hands-on experience in accessibility testing
- Familiarity with code inspection and browser dev tools
- Good working knowledge of WCAG guidelines and ARIA practices
- Experience using plugins, automated tools, and custom testing tools
- Proficiency in writing clear reports with visuals/screenshots
- Good spoken and written English communication skills
- IAAP certification (CPACC/WAS) is a plus, not mandatory
